Don't ask how this topic of conversation came up...it just did. Two nights ago as Mitch and I were lying in bed we began talking about Star Trek: The Next Generation...again. I like to think of people Mitch can wikipedia in his spare time to humor me. Our conversation:
Me: Hey...remember Number 1? Whatever happened to him? You should wikipedia him.
Mitch: You mean William Riker?
Mitch: You mean William Riker?
I begin laughing here.
Me: You are so funny! How did you know that? Who was that lady he was in love with?
Mitch: Deanna Troi.
Me: (hysterically laughing). TREKKIE!!!
Mitch: And remember Worf...played by Michael Dorn? Wait...you better not post this on your blog!
Me: (in my mind - "Too bad! ha, ha")
We then began talking about that mockumentary Trekkies and how funny it was. We started talking about all these funny parts, but then I was getting confused between Trekkies and Galaxy Quest...it was late. Mitch then said "You can tell a lot about a Star Trek fan by if they like or dislike Galaxy Quest." I am not sure what that means, but I do like Galaxy Quest. Do you know Dwight from The Office is in that movie?
Whoa...I just wikipedia searched "Trekkie (film)" and found out that it is a real documentary!! I always thought it was supposed to be a mockumentary. I guess there is a Trekkies 2 too! Another film for our movie list.
By the way...if anyone reading this really is a Star Trek fan...that is fine. I do not mean to offend! I share this post to show the entertainment of when Mitch shocks me with his random knowledge. AND just in case you are wondering, William Riker was played by Jonathan Frakes. He lives in Maine with his family where he teaches classes on film direction. He also co-owns a furniture shop with his wife called The Cherished Home. This random knowledge stuff is contagious.

Probably by far my favorite blog, I sit next to him so I know what you are talking about. He is a funny guy.
I agree, you can tell a lot by how much someone likes Galaxy Quest. I have to watch it at least once a quarter. And I did know Dwight is in it. And I think Mitch is awesome. And I like reading Kristin's thoughts during the day. And now I'm done.
umm, wow. Mitch never ceases to amaze.
