PFPF - Best Vacation Spot in Utah

I feel this one may cause controversy, but I am not ashamed! My winner for this week will have to be Lake Powell. If someone asks me where I would want to vacation in Utah it would have to be Lake Powell. I think to understand why I made my choice, I first must explain what a vacation to me IS:

-a place where I can swim, be in warm weather and get tan.
-a place where I can spend a lot of time with friends and family.
-a place that is beautiful.
-a place where I can relax.
-a place where I am sufficiently far enough away from home to not be bothered by the worries of everyday life.
-a place where I can eat good food.
-a place where I can sleep in if I want to AND take naps.

For these reasons, Lake Powell is perfect. It meets all of my criteria. It even has additional perks of boating, water sports, cliff diving, and isolation from the world.

The sad thing is I actually haven't been in years. I think it is time. However...maybe there are some cool vacation spots I have not yet discovered in Utah. Anyone?

I don't have a favorite vacation spot in Utah. Park City is fun, St. George can be fun as well. But I love San Diego and that's not in Utah. I guess I'm a Utah party pooper!

My favorite part of New Orleans is the cemeteries, bizarre! I also loved the old plantation houses. I don't know if they are there anymore.

Amen to that! I haven't been since I was probably 14. We tried to hit a ton of cool places in Utah before we left...Zion, Arches, etc since we'd lived there forever without going. And now we are in FLAT Texas. I"ll have to do some research on what's cool around here...
