Okay...I know that everyone in the world wants to share their opinion on this book...and I would like to join in. Overall I thought it was okay. I liked the closure it brought, but it was actually rather boring to me and I had to push through to finish. I am okay with how everything ended though.
On the other hand....have you read The Host? I really enjoyed this one. The storyline was so original and I honestly think I liked it even better than Twilight. I recommend it. It starts slow but picks up fast.
And now changing the subject completely....remember that dresser Mitch and I have been refinishing, etc? Probably not, because I think we started months ago. This is what the handles looked like. It has been sitting on my parent's deck through all spring and summer collecting dust. Thanks mom and dad! ANYWAY...we did finally finish last weekend and it looks awesome. I will be posting a picture sooner or later.

I also thought Breaking Dawn was okay. I was kind of hoping for something besides everyone living happily ever after, but I guess this was the ending everyone really wanted (except Percy who was really rooting for Team Jacob). I look forward to reading The Host.
i am a little over half way done with breaking dawn. celeste said it was a little too sci fi and i can see what she meant. i just dont get the whole jacob black thing. i can see why she kept him in the story for the ending, but realistically, i think bella is soo stupid. when you love someone like she supposedly loves edward, why the crap would you care to have a guy best friend and tell him you love him etc etc. realistically, no woman really should. your husband fills that for you. anyway, that part really bothers me. and the whole imprinting thing, oh brother!
I haven't read Breaking Dawn yet (mainly because I am too cheap to buy one, I just wait until my mom has read it then loans me the book---sad really), but I did actually like The Host (except for the stories about all of the other worlds---I could have done without those). Overall though, I give it a big thumbs up!
ok, i finished it and it was better than i expected.
ok, I thought the first part of breaking dawn was kind of disappointing but I liked the end but thought there were still questions that needed to be answered. Like why could they not read her mind before she was a vampire and why did she turn into one so easily? Was that her gift? SO do you have gifts before you are a vampire?
I bet she continues on with Jacob and Renesmee because she didn't even try to explain that they are shape shifters and NOT warewolves. SHe said in an interview that she is done with Bella and Edwards' story but not their characters. mmmm....
I am on the waiting list for the HOST at the library.
i hate breaking dawn. don't even get me started.
