For any faithful readers of my blog, you will know that I already had a 10-year-reunion in May, however only 5 people showed up from our class, so we tried again (this time with no teachers and no school involved). Our former class president put together a dinner at La Caille and half of our class showed up! Just in case you were wondering, I had a really small graduating class. It was really wierd at first to see everyone, but quite enjoyable to catch up with everyone and reminisce. I would love to do it again in another 10 years. By the way, I am not really THAT short, but I was crouching down so you could see the back row.
I also decided it was time to make some sugar cookies again (I can't do it too often because it wears me out!) but this time I let my nieces and nephews do the decorating. I have to admit they did a pretty good job! Before we started decorating, Maile said that she hated sugar cookies and didn't want to decorate any. Then she saw what we were doing and said she actually loved sugar cookies. After we were done decorating she took one bite of a cookie and said that she really did in fact hate sugar cookies. I have to say that they tasted delicious to me.

Nana helping Maile, Kai and Kea decorate!
One of Kea's masterpieces. She pointed out that the pumpkin had eyebrows.
The cookie decorators themselves.

The final masterpieces.

Thanks for posting that picture! You need to email or call and give me more details!
Love the cookies! Hardly anyone showed up for my 10 year either - we had a pretty crappy planning commitee!
Maile cracks me up! I spent an hour or so reading through Valynne's blog the other day and I couldn't stop laughing!
Whatever! You are totally that short.
You're so lucky to have family close by! I'm jealous. And those cookies look good. Maybe I should make some...
Okay, I just realized I posted that comment on the wrong post.... Oops.
Wait, no I didn't. Ha. Sorry for leaving a million comments on your blog.
