SO romantic I know. But seriously I am so excited about it. I think I have sewed every day since it arrived. Let me just state for the record that I am not good. I did a couple of “summer sewing projects” like pajamas and jumpers with my mom when I was like 12 and 13, but that is it. Most of the projects ended up partially finished. Since then my sewing career has consisted of hemming and hemming and hemming pants (hey, I am short). The good thing is that I don’t really care that I am not good. I figure with a lot of practice hopefully I will get better. I sewed some baby stuff for a dear friend who just adopted a baby girl! DISCLAIMER: I feel like I need to emphasize that these are not my ideas. I am a good copycat and hopefully my talented friends will not mind! Don't worry...I would never sell any of these projects! Okay, with that said, here are few pics...

My favorite project because it was quick, easy, practical and cute: a pincushion. I used this pattern.There are a few other cute things that I made (definitely not perfect but am so proud of). BUT I will not post pictures because I intend to use them for birthday gifts. Don’t want to go ruining any surprises. The not-so-funny thing is that I have no time to sew. Instead I have been staying up late and getting no sleep to make time for my new hobby. Last week I justified it by telling myself that “this is Conan’s last week on the Tonight Show. I have to stay up and watch it every night.” I will miss him.
Mitch was also out of town last week for work (for about 5 days). Let’s just say Keilani and I were able to get a lot of one-on-one time. He got in late last night and when she woke up this morning and he walked in her room she immediately wanted to go to him. Can you blame her? 24-7 with me can be tiring I guess.

We are almost through January and I am excited. One month closer to warm weather and Valentine’s candy!!!!

Kristen, I'm so impressed! I would love to be able to sew. There's so much you will be able to do in the future. Hopefully we can all get together some Friday...
