Since retiring, my dad has become a designated babysitter for all the grandkids. A couple weeks ago he told me he was “on-call” to watch my niece Maile, who might or might not be sick that day. Too funny. Anyways, it happens to be Kea and Maile’s spring break this week so he is watching them. I took Monday off of work and so I called them up to see if we should all do something together. I proposed the Bean Museum.
For those of you unfamiliar with the Bean Museum, it is a free museum at BYU. It has a bunch of animals, insects, etc. on display.
When I told Maile we were going there she said, “Bean Museum? Like beans?”
Me: “No, it is called the Bean Museum after Monte L. Bean”.
Maile: “Oh wait….I know. The animals are filled with beans right?”
Me: [laughing] “No, not quite.”

Anyways, we went and had a grand old time. I hadn’t been in a while. It is just big enough to have enough to do, but small enough so you can see everything on display. I carried Keilani around so she could see everything up close and she kept hitting her head on glass trying to look through the windows. Dad sat in one place and watched the dvd on sea life, “watching” the stroller as I walked around with all of the kids.
Towards the ends it started getting warm and Kea informed me she couldn’t wait to get home because she had left her flannel pajama pants on UNDER her other pants. Those girls just make me laugh.
