Celebrations

You would think with a title like "Celebrations" I would have some pictures to go with it. But I don't. Hopefully my detailed descriptions will paint pictures in your minds....I semi-promise to be better in the future.

In celebration of wrapping up a big project at work, coinciding with Independence Day and my 30th birthday I took some time off of work to relax.

It seemed like the 4th of July lasted for about 5 days long, then came my birthday which just extended the celebrating.

Highlights of our good times:

-Spending time with my mom and dad in law who have returned home from their mission. Keilani is getting to know and warming up to her other grandparents who she has never really spent time with. However, she still kind of freaks out when she sees my dad (whom she sees at least once a week).

-"Fantastic Mr. Fox." Mitch claims that this is his new favorite movie. I love Roald Dahl so needless to say I was a fan. After this I convinced him to watch Matilda with me.

-SWIMMING! We bought a punch pass to the scera pool. I think we have a new summer tradition. We went 3 or 4 times in one the week I think. Keilani loves the water and being around other kids. She takes after her Auntie Ashley who is super tan in 5 seconds. Lucky girl...

-SNOWCONES! Fortunately for us, our famous "Summer Sno" shack is located right in front of the scera. It makes for the perfect ending to a day in the sun.

-FOOD. We ate lots of it. With family. The best combo.

-SLEEP. We were in bed by 9 pm on July 3rd and 4th. I told Mitch how wierd it was because I haven't seen a SINGLE firework of any kind all summer. We were always in bed too early. For us that is a miracle though!

-MASSAGE. Mitch got me a massage for my birthday. I think that is the best gift ever. If I were rich I would get one everyday.

-Temple. The day of my birthday I decided to celebrate the big 3-0 by attending the temple with Mitch. It was so nice and relaxing because I didn't feel rushed. It was also a nice reminder of all that I am blessed with.

-Tucanos. This was not just an ordinary visit to Tucanos. It happened to be almost completely empty when we went and we had the greatest service ever. Also, the meat was amazing that day.

-That SAME day my sister in law took me to see Eclipse and then to CPK for dinner. Fun times.

I felt loved and relaxed and actually ready to return to work (as ready as I was going to be).

I promise to post some pictures soon....
