Twilight

If you have not read Twilight...please just skip to the next paragraph as I will sound lame in this one I am sure. For everyone else....YES. I finally read the book I have been meaning to read for about a year now. AND I am on the bandwagon. I finished reading it yesterday and am already into the second one. I hesitated for so long because I knew it was about a vampire and it just sounded so wierd. As I finished reading the book, however, I realized that this is what makes the book so good. A seemingly unrealistic plot feels so real and you really want there to be vampires in our world (if they are like Edward Cullen). It is kind of like wishing you could go to Hogwarts. I spent this morning at the gym and I was very observant of pale people. I am such a nerd I know.

On a more normal note, after reading my last blog Mitch said to me, "Oh man...I hope people don't think I am a trekkie," as I had mentioned Star Trek and Mitch in the same sentence. I am going to clarify that: No, Mitch is not a trekkie. He just happened to know an eerie amount of information about LeVar Burton (the guy from Reading Rainbow and yes, Geordi La Forge of Star Trek: The Next Generation). Ask him sometime. By the way, I am not a trekkie either.

Also, Uncle Ken commented on how ironic it was that I posted our progress on Body for Life right after the sugar cookie post. What can I say besides, that's how we roll in this family. No...we do actually get one free day a week (sometimes it is a free weekend), and we are still going strong ending week 8! Woo hoo.

So, what's wrong with being a trekkie? Did I miss something. I'm always getting left out.
