So above our toilet we have one of these etageres (that is really what they are called), and in the cabinet I keep cotton balls. I was getting ready for bed a couple of nights ago so I opened the cabinet and grabbed a cotton ball. My clumsy hands accidentally dropped it in the toilet after I had grabbed it. In my mind I thought, "Whew...good thing it was just a cotton ball" and flushed the toilet. Then I proceeded to reach for another cotton ball and happened to knock over a small bottle of bubble bath:
Of course it falls into the toilet at the peak of the flush. I shot my arm into the toilet to try and grab it while the toilet sucked it in full force. Too late. Goodbye bubble bath. I was kind of shocked at first, then proceeded to laugh really hard, then was mad because I messed up our toilet. We had to have someone come over and fix the toilet yesterday. You never really appreciate a toilet until you do not have one to use! It seemed like I had to use the bathroom more than usual, just because I couldn't.
Anyways, I can now look back and laugh again now that our toilet is fixed. Mitch said, "You should go and place a bottle of lotion in the toilet and take a picture to post on your blog." Um no thanks....as clean as toilet water looks I don't really want to put my hand or any bottles of my lotion in the toilet again.
I guess when I was about three or four-years-old we were at church and during a congregational hymn I stood up on the pew and began to conduct the music. Everyone started laughing (why no one stopped me I don't know) and then at the end of the song I bowed and said "Ah my lovely toilets..." See, even back then I appreciated a good toilet.

You have got to teach Mitch to keep the toilet seat down :)
