bronze medal

So we got 3rd place in our March Madness tourney. My only solace is that no one picked Kansas to win (we weren't the only ones). I was trying to be in bed by 9 last night but just wanted to check the score of the game before turning in. There were only a few minutes left with Memphis in a dominant lead, but I decided to just watch the rest of the game since it was almost over. I wasn't really rooting for either team (because neither of them were my picks), but I did feel bad for Kansas because they were losing. So as they caught up and scored the 3-pointer to tie the game (sending the game into OT) I totally screamed out loud. I was all by myself, watching the NCAA finals and cheering out loud (Mitch was at work). What have I become? Mitch said he was proud of me. Nonetheless, I am sure many of you will be happy to know that this will be my last blog about college basketball (until next March anyways). Actually, I have no idea who even reads this blog regularly besides Mitch (and those who make comments....thanks guys). So sorry Mitch...no more blogs about basketball for a while.

On a more feminine note....Cary and Melanie, you both recommended me to watch North and South. It looks so good. Can I ask where you can rent or watch this? Does the library have it? Or do I have to buy it (which I am willing to do)? I really do want to see it. I am kind of on this "BBC-19th-century-romance" kick. Anyone have any other recommendations?

I actually own it, and would totally let you borrow it....we also have "Wives and Daughters" which is also good, but less favorite. Let me know where you work now and I can drop it by one day!
