I had one of those weekends. We were supposed to wake up early Saturday morning to help with the neighborhood clean-up thing and our alarms didn't go off. Oops. When I finally rolled out of bed I decided to start making these cookies which I volunteered for a bake sale. There is a family in our neighborhood that is undergoing some serious financial struggles as a result of multiple health problems. So they put on a fundraiser spaghetti dinner and a bake sale. I thought I would try and make the cookies look decent since they were going to be sold. I started around 10 am and just took my time. It was fun and relaxing since I had such a stressful week, but before I knew it, it was like 4:30 pm. You are probably thinking...how on earth did she spend that much time making sugar cookies (which didn't even turn out that cute by the way!)? I did also make 2 loaves of banana bread and over 3 dozen of those cookies, but really who knows? Anyways, then I was running late and rushed into the shower so I could drop them off on time. The dinner was nice, but then afterwards I started feeling sick and was sick all day Sunday and Monday. I finally feel semi normal today and am finally ready to start the week...on a Tuesday...not too shabby. I do feel cheated out of my weekend however.
