OtterPoppaPalooza

These are some pics from last weekend that I thought needed to be shared. The one of Maile and the lemon head are pictures that Kea took with my phone. I thought they were hilarious.

SO....it was a GREAT holiday weekend. We started the morning of the 4th by helping out the Young Men/Young Women with a fundraiser. We had to help them sell otter pops and bottled water at the Freedom Festival parade (Nicknamed OtterPoppaPalooza by Mitch). I had to be down in Provo to save a spot at 5 am. Isn't that how everyone wants to start out their holidays? While I was sitting and waiting at the spot I took some pictures with my phone. It was a beautiful morning I have to admit. I got to watch the sunrise and all of the hot air balloons rise up into the sky.

Afterwards we rested and enjoyed a BBQ with my family. It was nice and relaxing with lots of food, frisbee, basketball and tennis. We ended up at my parent's house to do fireworks and watch old home videos. On Saturday we SLEPT in. I won't even mention what time we woke up...but I felt it was well deserved since I had to wake up at 4:30 am the morning before. We went swimming with my nieces then came to browse the freedom festival festivities. Our friend Cory was playing a show at the festival so we came to watch that. Then we met up with Brent and Nina and my parents for dinner and then watched Iron Man. What a great movie. I think we will have to buy it. The sound kept cutting out through the movie which was kind of irritating, but they gave out free movie passes to everyone at the end so I guess that was kind of worth it.

On Sunday we went to little Penelope's baby blessing. She is our friends' baby and so cute! It was so fun to visit with friends. It was also my birthday. I am 28. Quite depressing, I know. At least it was a great excuse to have yet another family get-together!

I was definitely spoiled with too many presents and many birthday wishes from friends and family. Thanks to everyone for making it a great day! A great weekend, and now it is back to reality.

Hope you had a happy birthday! Thanks for taking Kaitlyn to the airport and waiting for her to get on the plane!
How do you get your pictures from your phone onto your blog?
Was Otterpoppapaolooza a success? Luckily, McKay wasn't there-he will eat a WHOLE BIG BOX of otter pops in two days- He's addicted!
