A commercial came on the other day advertising this "Christmas Classics" dvd set. Mitch jumped up from the couch and exclaimed "I WANT THAT!" Yes, yes....just as a child a would. Well I thought I would start pricing them out and find a bargain, but I am really cheap so I waited and waited, thinking they would go on sale somewhere. I kind of forgot about it and then saw an ad in the costco connection magazine with a coupon for this exact set!!! I rushed there the next morning and got an AMAZING deal. I won't disclose the price, because I even bought a few extra for Christmas presents (possibly for someone reading this right now....)
Anyways, we have been watching them one at a time but I don't know what is more fun: 1) Reminiscing and remembering watching these as a child or 2) Watching Mitch sing all of the songs word-for-word. If you have watched these recently, our favorite character is Yukon Cornelius. So funny.

We just bought this too, but I still haven't watched it and reminisced. Can't wait!
Those are my favorite! The boys got the set last year from my sister and they watched them well into March or April! I worried that they wouldn't appreciate it during the actual Christmas season if they could watch them anytime, but they had "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town" on t.v. the other day and Jonas was thrilled. I rank them right up there with A Charlie Brown Christmas!
I was also excited to see and ad for this, but I haven't bought it yet. I don't think Percy shares my enthusiam, but I have a feeling he didn't really grow up on these shows.
