We found out on Friday that we are expecting a baby girl! Mitch was not surprised because he has just known all along, but I was pleasantly surprised.
How do those ultrasound people know what they are looking at? We spent the first 5 minutes in silence as the tech was looking at the images and the screen and making notes. All I was seeing were random lines and colors waving across the screen. After 4 minutes I wanted to break the silence and ask if there was really a baby inside me. She finally spoke up though and I could finally make out the images when we saw the baby's profile and hands, etc. It was worth the wait. We are so excited. I am constantly trying to form mental images of what she will look like, but I know that she will be cute no matter what (at least to us anyways!)

I remember when we got Penny's ultrasound. The tech was just getting started and I made some comment about when we would find out the sex of the baby. She said, "Oh, it's a girl", like she had known all along. It's amazing what a little sound can do. And, little girls are the best, you're going to love it.
That is so exciting. I am so happy for the both of you.
Congrats on a baby girl. Celeste told me yesterday that you and Ally are both expecting girls. I didn't know you were pregnant. I can only imagine how cute your little girl is going to be. What great parents she is going to have. As well as aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc.
I can't figure out the ultrasound thing either. I've had my share of pregnancies too! My first ultrasound of my last pregnancy I found out I was having twins! Now that's a shocking ultrasound!
YEY!!!!! I am so excited for you!
CONGRATS! You are going to love having a princess around the house. :-)
We are so excited for you! That's how it was with Hunter, i couldnt even see a baby and the tech could see a boy!! This time was on a newer machine and the baby was MUCh clearer. Congratulations! And she will be adorable!
So excited for you! I had ongoing dreams that Brevin was a foot...just a big foot in my tummy, that came out talking like an old man. I remember being so relieved that he was more than a foot! Your baby girl will be gorgeous!!
Yeah! We're so happy for you two.
Kristen, I tried your pomegranate jell-o salad and it received many rants and raves, which I am now passing on to you. Thank you!
