Helmet Update

Well we met with the Orthotist and Keilani was fitted for a helmet. She screamed and cried through the process. It hopefully will only take 3-4 months and we pray that it works and that we can resolve her neck issues before the helmet is off or her head could just get flat again. We get the helmet in a couple of weeks and she has to wear it 23 hours a day! I'll keep you posted.

wow, she really has to wear one? You should put some BYU stickers on there to look like a football helmet. Great way to start the season. I bet it will be so hard but it will be worth it for her to have her cute round head back. Sweet girl....

I had to wear braces for my feet, Keilani has to wear a helmet. It'll be ok--and she's so stinkin' cute!

One of my friend's 2 girls both had to wear helmets for several months because of the shape of their heads. You are a good mom for wanting to take care of her and doing the right thing even though I am sure it must be hard to think about her wearing the helmet. She is such a doll and the helmet won't take away from her beautiful face at all! Good luck! :-)

Hey Guys! Jaxon will be getting a helmet in a few weeks as well! The great thing is that he probably won't remember any of it and it will do wonders for his self esteem in the long run. We're going to decorate it with "Y" stickers - complete with football touchdown marks for each time he rolls over, eats solids, etc. So fun! It's only 3 months, right? We can do it! :) - Emily Miller (Decker)
