After a much needed break, it is back to the real world. Much to tell though, much to tell.
What we learned over Christmas break:
1. DO NOT MESS with Keilani's sleeping schedule. We tried to be a little adventurous and stay out late (at my parents) and we certainly paid the price. Keilani woke up several times during the night crying and there was no sleep to be had. However, even after getting back into the routine she was still struggling and I discovered she has new teeth. So....
2. Keilani is a baby vampire now. She already had her two bottom teeth (from a couple of months ago) and I figured she must be teething because she has been kind of cranky and woken up crying during the night. I kept checking over and over to see if her top teeth had broken through but could never see anything. Then I happened to notice last week that her canines had broken through. Yes....is this so wierd or what?!? Should be interesting. If I ever get a good picture I will be sure to post it!
3. Christmas with a baby is so much more fun (despite the sleeplessness).
4. I am the ultimate "hominoes" (dominoes) champion.
5. Learning how to knit is much harder than anticipated. Ashley and I (and Valynne eventually too) learned how to knit. A sweet lady in my parent's neighborhood came over to show us...and we were "slow". I think we kind of panicked and wanted to back out, but we have perservered. I am working on two scarve wraps. I will definitely post pictures when done to document this blessed event.
6. Eating 10 lbs of chocolate makes you gain weight.
7. The new year still comes even if you are in bed by 9:00 pm. Yes...we are old and we were SO excited to be able to go to bed early.
8. 1:00 p.m church with a baby will make for an interesting year.
9. Dad will be missed...at work. My dad retired from his job. After years of his service he can now go and have some fun.
10. Ready or not here we are in 2010. I turn 30 this year. Pretty crazy considering I still get offered children's menus at restaurants, I still like Hello Kitty stuff, my little nieces' feet are too big for my shoes, and I still feel like I just barely graduated from college...but I have also been married for almost 4 years and have a baby now too. Oh and I go to bed at 9:00 pm on New Year's Eve, so I guess 30 is the right place for me to be.
