3 Year Blogiversary

I just realized that I started this blog 3 years ago. Crazy how time flies, but in some ways I feel it has been around forever (not that I post very often). Life has been busy. Work, school, family, church and unexpected turns keep us constantly on our toes. Some highlights of the past few weeks though:

-Mitch bought me new couches and an ottoman for Valentine's Day (Anniversary, Birthday and maybe Christmas too)!!! He even surprised me which is quite risky, but I really do love them! It is nice to not fall through a hole when you sit down now.

-Celebrated several birthdays, one of them being Mitch's. I got him the best gift yet: 2 cookie sheets. Seriously though, he had been wanting these for a while. If you don't know, Mitch is a chocolate chip cookie master. I don't even normally like chocolate chip cookies, but his are amazing. It is an art that he has truly mastered!

-Keilani. Oh where to begin with the joy and stress of my life!!!!! She has started to take her diaper off ALL of the time. As soon as it is on, it is off, and unfortunately this doesn't always make for a happy mommy and daddy. Finding wet sheets or poop on the floor doesn't tend to bring happy thoughts. I think I need to duct tape her clothes on. No...not really...or really? I think she is just really telling me it is time for potty training which I should be happy about right? She has also decided that she does not like sleeping at night anymore. I am still trying to figure this one out.....any tips from other parents? Besides this she REALLY is our joy. She loves her stuffed animals lately and I will find her sitting with them as she tries to feed them chips and give them her sippy cup. She lines them up on the stairs, on the kitchen floor and stacks them up on the chair.
Even though you can't tell what she is saying 90% of the time, she really is talking quite a bit. She loves to talk on the phone with anyone, so if you ever want to talk, give her a call. She can now even count to 10 all by herself!

-New cookbook. My mission companion just published a cookbook!! And it is awesome. I would really recommend buying it, or at least checking out her website here. She was my second companion (Sara Smith Wells) and I learned a lot from her. I am so excited for her. If you check out her website, I highly recommend the Creamy Chicken Taquitos. They are the best I have ever had.

-Sewing competition. I entered my first sewing competition. I didn't win, but that is okay. It was to win a really nice sewing machine so I went for it. The competition was for the best potholders and the runners up and winners really did have awesome potholders. Isn't that just a funny category though? I spent so much time on mine that now I really am kind of sick of it. I may give it away. Anyone interested in a potholder?

love the potholders. What a lot of work. Can we see pictures of the new couches? Would love to see Mitch's taste, or what he thinks your taste is. When are you coming up again. We miss Keilani ( well, and you and Mitch too)
