Valynne has bestowed upon me the "Honest Scrap" award. Here are the rules she sent along, should I choose to accept such an award:
1) Thank the person who gave you the award and list his/her blog (with a link).
2) Pass on the award to seven other people whose blogs you find brilliant in content or design.
3) Notify the bloggers you choose for the award and hopefully they’ll join in.
4) List 10 honest things about yourself and post a copy of the Honest Scrap Logo on your blog.
Thanks Valynne. For those of you who don't already read her blog, I encourage you to. My nieces are hilarious. Seven others I pass the award on to: Emily, Sarah, Ally, Celeste, Stephanie, Trine and Nichole. My notification is this post. Hopefully you will someday read this blog and know you have been chosen :)
10 things about myself that you may or may not know:
1) I tried to avoid that "25 things about yourself" facebook deal but I guess this is pretty much the same thing.
2) I went to a private school my whole life (because my mom taught/worked there).
3) I used to love to collect insects. I still have my insect collection even though it is collecting dust. Now most insects annoy me (moths, grasshoppers, bees, mosquitos, flies), but I do occasionally see a beautiful insect (butterflies, beetles) and find it fascinating.
4) I love being tan. Ironically I am disgustingly pale this summer.
5) I love to cook/bake. I am obsessed with the food network. I watch it at the gym and my workouts fly by! However, this doesn't mean that I actually do cook/bake. I always tell myself that if I didn't have to work or had a bigger/nicer kitchen I would cook all the time.
6) When I was little I loved the 3 Little Pigs story. I had it on tape and would listen to it over and over and over and over. I had it memorized from beginning to end. I still have the tape. I tried to have it converted to a cd, but ran into copyright issues.....boo.
7) There was one summer when I was like 8 or 9 years old and we watched West Side Story EVERYDAY. Literally everyday. I would wake up to it.
8) I used to collect stickers. I think I still have my big collection (in an old photo binder) somewhere. We are talking thousands of stickers.....
9) I have rediscovered reading. I actually enjoy reading, when it is a good book. I will thank Valynne for this. She is slowly recommending books to help me branch out of Harry Potter. There is nothing like a good page-turner. It is so much better than even a good movie. Please let me know if you have any good recommendations..
10) I still love me a good movie though. Jane Austen, Anne of Green Gables, Alfred Hitchcock, etc. I can watch any classic over and over and over again.

I want a copy of that 3 Little Pigs Tape. I'm sure we can figure it out somehow. And West Side Story. Ah, good times.
I totally read your blog.
