Our Journey to Driggs

We had the greatest Thanksgiving! We braved the "hurricane" weather and made the drive to Grammie and Papa's (Mitch's parents) new place in Driggs, Idaho. My bro-in-law let us borrow his truck at the last minute which I think literally saved our lives. I think we would be buried somewhere alongside the highway otherwise. Their new house is beautiful and in such a beautiful setting. It is definitely worth the drive. We pulled up and I felt like we were going to a remote luxury ski lodge or something. Of course the best parts of the trip were being with family, watching Keilani have so much fun with everything and playing with her cousins, and eating good food. But other highlights included:

-Mitch really wanted to pet a brown cow that had broken out of it's roaming area. At first we thought it was going to charge us, then it just walked off. We saw it again the next day and Mitch almost got out of the car to pet it. He missed his chance and it was never seen again.....

-The beautiful scenery! Snow and trees enclose the house and it was so wonderful to wake up to that every morning!

-Girl time. The boys went off on Friday night to go watch the Boise St. game (to their disappointment), and I got to spend some fun time with the "girls".

-Going into town. Driggs is this fun, little town. Everyone was so nice and friendly. We went to this little soda shop place and they had this delicious Huckleberry ice cream and the cutest little sleds. So we bought some to go:

-Sledding! It was fun to bundle up Keilani for the first time to play in the snow. I am pretty sure she loved it.

In her bibs.

Getting ready to play!

Trying to offer me a taste of snow from her glove.

Daddy pulling her in her new sled up the hill (which was the long driveway from grammie and papa's house)

See all that snow! The high was like 6 degrees that day I think.

And our wonderful hosts! Thanks Grammie and Papa!
